October Newsletter
Dear Families,
Happy Fall! This is my absolute favorite time of the year and we have many fun themes, activities and learning to do! Just a reminder that our first field trip will be on Tuesday, October 4th at the Thomasson Family Farm Pumpkin Patch. Our scheduled time is at 9:30 so we will meet here at 8:45 and head to the patch about 9:15. All parents or family member/friend will be responsible to take their own child. This will be our morning/afternoon preschool class for the day, all full day kids can return to school after the trip. I am so excited for this field trip, the kids will have a blast!
Immunization Forms
If I do not have a copy of your child’s up to date immunization forms I will need those as soon as you can get them to me. The state requires that we have them on file for each student. Thank you!
Menu
We are now posting a weekly menu on the wall by the sign in binder. We do have some picky eaters in our class and I don’t want them to be hungry in the afternoon if they do not like the lunch choice. Please review the menu and if your child does not like the items on a certain day you are more than welcome to send them with a lunch from home! This goes for snack too.
Solid Foundations Webpage
Rather than making copies every month I will now be posting our newsletter on our webpage www.solidfoundationspreschool.com. Please click on the “Newsletter” tab and it will bring you to our current newsletter. It’s always fun to look at all of our pictures as well! Please also remember to check out our Facebook Page too for up to date pictures and fun we are having in the classroom!
Halloween
Halloween falls on a Monday this year so we will be doing a small celebration at school on that day. We will be having fun activities and snacks in both morning and afternoon classes.
Your child is welcome to come in their costume! We just ask that you bring a change of clothes just in case!
Cubbies
Please make sure now that the weather will be getting wetter that your child has a change of clothes kept in their cubbies in case of an accident or getting wet at recess. I also ask that each child have their own water bottle to be kept in their cubbies if they need a drink outside of lunch and snack time. Please no juice due to spills! I want the kids to be able to go and get a drink when they need one!
